In the US, Bike to School Day is a school festival. 【小题1】   On that day, students need to ride to school. But if they have no bikes or live far from school, they can walk to school or take school buses.

Some students also ask their parents to go to work by bike on that day. After that, lots of parents get into a habit of riding. 【小题5】   After buying an old bike for only fifty to one hundred dollars, they can ride it to work every day. And a new bike doesn’t take too much money, either. It’s great to have one.

In America, most students take the school bus to school. All American school buses are yellow. 【小题1】. The older students sit at the back of the school bus, and the younger students sit in the front of the school bus. 【小题2】. They usually listen to music, talk on their phones, read books or just sleep on it. 【小题3】. For example, when the school bus goes on the road, other cars have to make way for the school bus. 【小题4】. If the drivers don’t follow the rules, the school bus driver will tell the police and the police will give the driver a ticket (罚单). 【小题5】. If some students are late for the school bus, they need to go to school by bus, by taxi, by bike or in their parents’ car.

Online shopping

China has many big online shopping platforms, such as Taobao, Tmall and JD. com. They have made online shopping a lifestyle choice for many people in China. Taobao even started “online shopping festival” on Nov. 11th. It’s reported that Taobao and Tmall may have more than 800 million goods. Their company Alibaba has developed into the world’s largest e-commerce（电子商务）company.

Bike sharing

Bike sharing is not a new idea. But China has given it a whole new meaning. It encourages people to ride the public-sharing bikes over short distances, aiming to solve the “last mile” problem in big cities. We use mobile apps（移动应用程序）or cards to unlock bikes. We can leave the shared bikes at any bike station. This makes bike sharing much easier.

Cashless payment

In China, now you don’t need cash or bank cards to buy things. You could just pay with your mobile phone. You can scan（扫描）a store’s QR code（二维码）to pay. Even a fruit seller on the roadside has a QR code for WeChat Pay or Alipay.

High-speed trains

On September 21, 2017, China’s new high-speed train Fuxing made its first run from Beijing to Shanghai. It ran at a speed of 350km/h. This makes it the fastest train in the world. China has the world’s longest high-speed railway network. It’s more than 22, 000 kilometers.
