I asked three of my friends how they had changed since they came to our middle school. And here are their answers.

Robin

I didn’t do well in my study before, but since I began to study in this school, things have changed. The teachers here are all energetic, active and helpful. They always encourage me by saying “I’m sure you can make it” or “You are one of the cleverest students I have ever met”. These words really mean a lot to me. Now I’m one of the top students in my class, and I like studying as well.

Dick

I used to be a fat boy who could hardly run 500 meters. When I entered the middle school, my father worried that I would be laughed at by my new classmates, so he decided to do morning exercises with me every day. It really worked. Now I’m used to running and exercising in the morning, and I am slim and strong. Besides, my P. E. teacher thinks I can be a good runner in the future!

Jason

I used to like to be alone and didn’t fee like talking to anyone. But when I met Robin and Dick, I found that they were really good people. Then gradually we became closer and finally became good friends. Thanks to them, I’m talkative and outgoing now, and I have made many other friends. I talk and play with my friends every day and each day I feel happy.

I’m Tom. I am a new student in a middle school. I like everything about my school except（除了）the school time. Every morning, I get up at 6:25. That’s too early. And I take the school bus at 6:50. Sometimes, I must run to the bus.

I like my new classmates. One of them is old. He is Jerry. Jerry and I were classmates in Grade 6. Now we are together again. Jerry often says, “I hope we can be in different（不同的）classes. I don’t like you.” Of course he is joking. He always has a good time with me. We go to play basketball together three times a week.

My school has a lot of clubs. I am in the Football Club and Reading Club. I make new friends in clubs.

Cindy and Anna were best friends. Some days they could spend hours happily together, but sometimes they didn’t have the same idea.

One day, during the morning break, Cindy wanted to play in the garden with Anna near their classroom. But Anna said, “Come on, let’s play chess in the classroom.”

“I don’t want to play chess.” Cindy answered.

Anna became to get angry, “We always do what she wants to do. Now it’s my turn (轮次) to decide (决定) what to do.” she thought. Then she ran away unhappily.

Cindy stayed in the garden by herself, and she felt unhappy, too. After she got home, she found she still had Anna’s notebook in her schoolbag.

“Well, I’m not giving it back to her today.” Cindy thought angrily.

The next day at school, their teacher Mrs. Stone asked for their notebooks. But Anna didn’t have hers, and she looked worried. Cindy knew she should tell Mrs. Stone that she had the notebook, however, she was still angry with Anna.

When it was time for lunch, Cindy finally told Mrs. Stone the truth. “Thank you for telling me what happened, Cindy. I’m sure Anna will thank you for giving me her notebook.” said Mrs. Stone.

Later, Mrs. Stone asked the two girls to come together and talked with them. “It’s a good idea to take turns to decide the activity. You should learn to talk with your friends when you have different ideas.” Mrs. Stone said. Again, the two girls became good friends.
