These days, for many of us, relatives (亲戚) are kind of far in our hearts. Many children don’t grow up in a family with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. They only grow up with their father and mother. Even in most families, they only have one child, not any brothers or sisters.

Many children know about their relatives not too much and they don’t care about (关心) them. This makes them feel kind of lonely (孤独的). So some of them like playing computer games and being interested in smart phones. These are not healthy.

For that, people need to keep in touch (与……保持联系) with relatives. Parents can tell their children stories about their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. And parents can also ask their children to call or write emails to them often. Having a vacation (度假) with relatives is a good idea, too.
