I had a great holiday last summer. My father took me to 【小题1】 (we) own farm in the countryside. When we arrived that evening, I was very 【小题2】 (surprise) to see they had everything in daily lives but without fast transportation! One day, I found a bicycle station across 【小题3】 the street. I went there 【小题4】 I wanted to ride a bike. A 【小题5】(manage) named Tom gave me some 【小题6】 (advice) on how to get a bike by 【小题7】 (use) my smartphone. 【小题8】 (final), with his help, I got one. I 【小题9】 (ride) across streets. I wanted to know whether the people would like fast transportation or not. Most of them said they wanted it, because they hoped to see the 【小题10】 (wonder) world one day.

At 7 am, we got on the state-of-the-art Fuxing Hao train at Shanghai Railway Station. We stored our 【小题1】 (背包) and found our seats. Unlike other trains which start with a shake and much 【小题2】 (噪音), this train felt so smooth that if you were not looking out of windows, you could 【小题3】 (几乎不) tell we were moving. Yet, within minutes, we were passing over the rails at speeds of more than 350 kilometers an hour.

Soon, the towns of 【小题4】 (东部的) China were rushing by. I saw my wife smiling and 【小题5】 (指向) to a coin she had balanced on the table. She took another coin and balanced it next to the first, and then another, until she had a 【小题6】 (行) of coins. They stood there on the table for more than 20 minutes before one finally fell over.

After that, we 【小题7】 (两个都) went back to reading and enjoying the beauty outside. We felt quite 【小题8】 (放松的). Then, before we knew it, we heard the announcement that we were arriving in Beijing. For 1,318 kilometers, we 【小题9】 (花费) only 4 hours and 38 minutes. Thanks to high speed trains, we can travel in China much more conveniently. No 【小题10】 (疑惑), they will also bring the people of the country closer together, and in time bring about deep social changes, the full nature of which no one can fully guess.

When I was a kid, I rode my mountain bike everywhere. It was one of my 【小题1】.

But as I got older I stopped riding my bike. When I went to university. I didn’t even own a bike anymore! It can be very 【小题2】 to ride a bike in cities in Australia. There are not many bike paths (小道) and cars can sometime hit (撞击) the bikes and kill the people on the bikes. The country is trying to 【小题3】 this big problem.

Now I am living in Beijing . I am having fun on my bike again. My friend gave me an old black bike. I ride it to the gym, to the grocery store (杂货店) or to the park. It can be scary (害怕的） with lots of cars, motorbikes and people around. I am always very 【小题4】 when I cross the road. I always wear a helmet (头盔) to protect my head and 【小题5】 ride too fast. There are always lots of other people 【小题6】 bikes, too. It makes me feel more comfortable. It is a fun way to travel in the city!

Now mo-bike is very popular in Beijing. People can rent and give back the bikes everywhere in Beijing with low prices. I started using mo-bike last year. On the weekend, my friend and I rented bikes to the Olympic Park . Mo-bike makes 【小题7】 easy and cheap for everyone to ride. If we all ride bikes, there will be 【小题8】 pollution from cars.
