Last year my class went on a skiing trip to the mountains. We had already been to the same place many times and it always had been a fantastic experience each time.

When we arrived there, it snowed heavily the day before. And there were terrible storms. While we were having breakfast the next day, everyone in the hotel told us not to go skiing because of the bad weather. But we decided to go anyway because we thought we were quite familiar with the mountains. When we got to the mountain top, it started snowing again. The hotel gave us some sandwiches to take with when we left, so we ate them while we were waiting for the weather to improve.

But it didn’t get fine and soon we were really scared. Luckily, I put my cell phone in my bag before leaving the hotel. I called the emergency services (紧急服务). And they sent a helicopter (直升机) to save us. When we got to the hotel safely, all of us were tired and hungry.

What a disaster! Next time we will listen to others’ advice and not take any risks. What’s more, I’m going to a warm island next year!
