Hello, everyone! My name is Quan Hongchan. I’m a 14-year-old diver(跳水运动员). I’m from Guangzhou. I like purple. Both my clothes and bag are purple. I have a big family. In my family, my grandma is the oldest. She is eighty years old. My parents have five kids: my two brothers, my two sisters and I. We all love our family very much. Chen Yuxi and Zhang Jiaqi are my good friends. We are busy every day. To be a winner, we must train hard(努力训练). After training, we like playing together. Thanks for their help. I can be a strong girl.

Most people have jobs. They go to work nearly every day. Some people are lucky. Either they have very interesting jobs or they earn a lot of money. Most people are not so lucky. Either their jobs are not very interesting or they don’t even earn a lot of money.

The most interesting jobs are often the most difficult. People spend a long time learning how to do them. Doctors study for at least six years after finishing school. Airline pilots study longer. They have to learn to fly a small plane, and then slowly moving up to bigger and bigger plane. Most airline pilots are at least 30 years old.

Some young people have interesting and well-paid jobs. Many successful athletes(运动员) young. Football and tennis stars are usually under 35. Older people usually can’t play these sports very well. They can’t move fast enough. Golf, however, is a good sport for older people. Many successful golfers are quite old.

Most people work until they are 60 or 65 years old. Then they retied(退休) and have a lot of spare time. Some people never retire though. They usually have very interesting jobs such as writers, artists, musicians and actors. Their work is their life.

I am Jack, a student. I am from New York, America. Now I live in Beijing with my parents. Tim is my father. He is a policeman at a police station. He is a cool man at the age of forty-five. He likes summer because he likes swimming. My mother, Anna, is a doctor. She works at a hospital. She is nice. She is forty-five years old, too. She likes going shopping when she is free(空闲的). My sister, Lucy, is eight years old. She is in Class 1, Grade 3. She likes singing. She has ever got the first prize(奖) on singing. I am in the same school with her. I’m in Grade 7. I like playing computer games at weekends. We are a happy family.
