In recent years, Wechat (微信) is becoming more and more popular in China. Many people send messages through Wechat. It’s wildly used in our work, life and even study.

Mr. Guo is a teacher from Chongqing. He asked his students to hand in their homework through a QR code (二维码). “When students finish the homework, they keep it on Wechat. Then, each student makes his own QR code and gives it to me. So I can check their work everywhere using my computer or telephone.”said Guo. Guo’s students like the new way and think it is interesting. “We are living in the information age. Many students like to work with computers, which makes learning more fun,” said Tingting, a student of Guo’s. “The paper is not easy to keep, but the code is easy to keep and share.” Guo said. “It’s worth trying to use new technology (科技) in education. Education itself is a kind of creation. I don’t want my students to fall behind the times.”

However, ________. They are afraid that their children will spend too much time on computers and less time talking with teachers. But in fact, it’s unnecessary. Students still need to look up information in books and write it down when they do homework.

Li Hui, an excellent man, became a teacher in 2006. He teaches math in a village. The village is poor, many boys don’t like to study. Li often uses different ways to interest them. For example, he has his math classes under a tree. He thinks competitive sports are suitable for boys, especially for the ones who don’t like to study, so he chooses football to attract them and keep them in school. Before moving into the new school in 2017, they even didn’t have a sports place. Students took P.E. classes in the village library or a chicken coop (鸡舍) that had been cleaned up.

In 2009, their team was made up of children from different grades because of the limited number of students in their school. They won first prize at an important game in 2014. Before that, people didn’t understand why Mr. Li took his students to play football every day.

“Football gives children self-discipline. The children must get up at six and practice football. The kids are smart and the older students teach the younger ones. And sometimes they learn more skills from the online videos.” Li said. “In 2017, we moved to the new school about 3 kilometers away from the old one. There is an indoor gym (体育场), as well as a trophy room. The life in the past was so difficult, but everyone worked hard to change their life.”
