Nowadays we spend a lot of time on our smart phones every day. Many of us have become so reliant on them. However, it is bad for us to use them too often.
A study shows that smart phone owners usually start to use their phones early in the morning. They check personal emails and WeChat. And before they get out of bed, many people often check the weather, read the news, and send a message or two to friends. After getting up, they often take photos of food, themselves and even whatever they can see with their phones. They share their photos with their friends. The research finds that users pick up their phones more than l,500 times to do different tasks in an average (通常的) week. And they are on their phones for three hours and sixteen minutes a day. That is to say, people use their phones for almost one full day each week.
It takes much time to use phones and it’s also bad for our health. Many people stay up late to play with phones. Surely, it will influence (影响) our sleep. Without using the phones, many people will feel sad. Many owners also find they use their phones without realizing they’re doing so.

Type in “A cat wants to go to space” and ask the robot to write a bedtime story. Just one second later, you’ll get the story of Max, who got over many difficulties to sing among the stars.
This robot writer is called ChatGPT. The US company OpenAI developed it. The technology chats in a conversational way, answering questions from the Internet user. It can translate languages, talk with people and write songs, poems and even jokes. It’s one of the most powerful AI robots of its kind.
The power of ChatGPT lies in its speed and understanding of complex matters. We may spend hours researching, understanding and writing an article on the theory of evolution (进化论). But ChatGPT can produce a well-written one in seconds. Another good thing about it is that if you ask dark, harmful questions, it will not give you an answer.
However, ChatGPT also gives rise to some problems. The materials they create are difficult to tell from those made by humans. This causes many problems, such as the copyright (版权) problem and the definition (定义) of art. It could also result in many translators and writers losing their jobs or being paid much less, as their skills are no longer something companies need.
It’s too soon to say what kind of influence ChatGPT will have on our lives. Let’s hope that, if ChatGPT does become bigger and more popular, its effects are mostly positive.
