There is a famous saying, “When in Rome(罗马), do as Romans do.” It means when you are living in or visiting a new place, you should follow the laws(法律) and customs of that place.

In fact, Rome is a top travel city in Italy. In Rome, you will find many old buildings and great museums. As the capital(首都) of modern Italy, it also has many fine restaurants and cafes, good nightlife, and lively streets and squares.

The best way to arrive in Rome is by train. The main station, Roma Termini Railway Station, is close to the center of Rome. You can also arrive there by bus near Roma Termini. Rome’s airport, Fiumicino “Leonardo da Vinci” International Airport, is a big international airport, and visitors from the United States often arrive here.
Rome has very good public transportation. You can easily get almost anywhere by bus or by subway. But please look after your backpacks and wallets when you are on crowded buses or the subway, because there are many pickpockets(扒手) in Rome.

April, May, late September and October are the best time to visit Rome. During the summer, there are music festivals with dancing, music and food. But if you want to enjoy Roman Spring Festival, then go there in April.

People in Rome are very friendly and outgoing, so visitors usually have a wonderful time there.
