On Friday afternoon, Mr Tian, the Chinese teacher asks his students to write an article（文章）. The topic（主题）is My Beautiful Mother. Mr Tian says to the students，“You can go home after you finish it. ” All the students except（除了）Xiao Hong begin to write. They want to go home early. Xiao Hong is sitting there and thinks of her activities on weekends. She usually plays basketball on Monday afternoon if it is sunny. She plays volleyball on Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday she plays tennis. She often plays ping-pong on Thursday. And she likes playing soccer on Friday afternoon.

She raises her head and looks around. There are only five students except her in the classroom. Forty students hand in（上交）their articles and leave for home. She is a little worried.

She thinks it over, and then, she has a good idea. She writes down the words on the paper: My mother is a tall and healthy woman. She is really beautiful. If you look at her daughter, you can know all about her.

Jack is my good friend. A few months ago, I saw a guitar in his room. 【小题1】 I asked him in surprise why there was a guitar in his room. He told me that he would do something difficult and different before 18 years old, and he wanted to try playing the guitar in front of people. 【小题2】 But after he decided to do this thing, he practiced the guitar hard for two hours every day. And he showed his performance at the school art show. Now he is full of confidence (自信) and becomes outgoing after his first successful show.

After watching Jack’s first show, I thought carefully about myself that night. 【小题3】 That was because I was not good at writing. From then on, I wrote every day to improve my writing skills so that I could put some articles in the school magazines.

Now everything is going well and my writing skills have improved a lot. 【小题5】 Thanks to Jack, my life is full of confidence. In the end, my dream to be a writer came true.
