It took the team two months to make its first 3D newspaper. The team printed (印刷) 115,000 special copies. It was a big number. Many readers tried to buy this new kind of newspaper.

Each of these newspapers comes with a pair of free 3D glasses. All the photos and pictures in the newspaper are in 3D. But the words do not change. Readers can read the newspaper best when they put the paper 50 cm away from their eyes. In fact, if people don’t wear the 3D glasses, it’ll be hard for them to read the newspaper because the pictures are not clear (清楚的).

Most of the people bought the newspaper just for fun. The team didn’t go on with the work because it cost too much to make such newspapers.

The Power(力量) of the Wind

Light winds help us fly kites in spring and cool us in summer. Strong winds take away people’s lives. Winds can be friendly or dangerous. They can also work for us.

Wind power is not new. 5000 years ago, the Chinese first used windmills (风车). In 700 A.D. , the Syrians and Persians used them too. In the 17th century (世纪) , the people of the Netherlands built windmills to get seawater. Now we can use the wind to make electricity (电).

In many countries, wind turbines (风力发电机) are easy to see. A group of turbines is called a wind farm. Most wind farms are in fields, and some are on the top of mountains.

Wind energy (能源) has several advantages(优点). One advantage is that there will always be wind. Wind power is also clean. It doesn’t make air pollution (污染). Farmers like wind power because electric companies(公司) pay them to use their land.

Wind power also has some disadvantages. One is that turbines are expensive, although the cost has gone down these years. A second disadvantage is that it can make noise pollution.

Today, wind power is growing fast. A lot of countries get their energy from wind. Denmark(丹麦) gets 20% of its energy from wind. China is going to get 26% of its energy from wind in 2030. Maybe one day, all countries will use this safe, clean energy to make electricity.
