I have a good friend, Jim. Every day he has too much food. （A）He doesn’t like playing sports. He has a big breakfast every morning. For it, he has four eggs, some bread and milk. （B）他午餐吃什么？He eats two hamburgers and some chicken. For dinner, he likes salad. He likes ice-cream, too. He is not healthy. He is too fat, but he is very friendly to me and I like him.

Fifteen years ago, I drove a taxi for a living. One day I went to pick up a passenger (乘客) at 2:40 am. When I arrived there, I walked to the door and knocked.

After a while, the door opened. A small woman stood before me. She was more than eighty years old. By her side was a big bag.

When we got into the taxi, she gave me an address (地址), and then asked, “Could you drive through the city?”

“It’s not the shortest way,” I answered quickly.

“Oh, I know,” she said, “I’m on my way to a hospice (临终关怀医院). I don’t have any family left. The doctor says I don’t have very long.”

I quietly turned off the meter(计程表). For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the building where she had once worked, the neighborhood where she had lived.

We drove to the address she had given me.

“How much do I pay you?” she asked.

“None,” I said.

“You have to make a living,” she answered.

“Oh, there are other passengers,” I answered.

Almost without thinking, I gave her a hug. She said,“ You gave an old woman a moment of happiness.”

Jeff Lebo, 51, has collected thousands of unique (独特的) cans from around the world. Now the beer can collector has turned his record-breaking collection of more than 83000 cans into a hotel, with guestrooms decorated (装饰) with wall-to-wall cans in the forest of the Conewago Mountains, Pennsylvania.

With the five bedrooms and two bathrooms, the hotel can hold up to 10 people. Mr Lebo has equipped (配备) each room with all of the usual home comforts. He also decorated each room with themed beer cans from different countries, including America, Europe and Asia.

Guests from around the world even bring additional cans to add to the collection. Mr Lebo said, “I collect beer cans from around the world and I’m always looking for new cans.”
