The Outback is a large desert (沙漠) area of Australia. Very few people live there and temperatures can be very high-about 50℃ in summer! Read the advice before you go there.
Do’s Take enough water. There are few places for you to find water in the Outback. You can live for many days without food but not without water! Use sunblock (防晒霜). The sun is one of the biggest dangers there. You should only hike in the morning and in the evening because it’s very hot between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. You should take a map. You should also tell friend or your family where you are going and when you are planning to get there. |
Don’ts Don’t depend on your phone. Some of the areas in the Outback are very far and there is no signal (信号). Don’t worry too much about snakes. There are many different kinds of snakes but they don’t always hurt people. Don’t leave your car if it stops working. Your car can help a plan find you. It’s a lot easier to find a car than a person from the air. |
