Miss Riley talked about the school rules with her students on the first day of school. “Don’t jump off the swings,” said Miss Riley. “It’s very dangerous and you could get hurt.” After learning the rules, the students went outside to play. “Don’t do that,” said Jeff. “Remember what Miss Riley said.”

“She isn’t looking at us,” said Robbie. “She won’t know.” And then he really jumped.

All the other kids started to run to Robbie, as well as Miss Riley. “What happened?” asked Miss Riley.

“Robbie jumped off the swing. I told him not to, ”said Jeff.

“It seems that you broke your leg,” Miss Riley said to Robbie. She asked Jeff to get the school doctor. A few minutes later, Miss Tanner came and she took Robbie to the hospital.

“I hope you have learned a lesson,” Miss Riley said to the students. “You will be in danger if you don’t follow the rules.”

Rebecca doesn’t like art classes. She just can’t make an orange look like an orange, or a tree look like a tree.

But her art teacher Mrs. Miller is kind. She says to Rebecca, “Don’t worry. We can’t all draw well but I know that you can make good pictures.”

“What do you mean?” asks Rebecca.

The teacher says, “You are very good at taking photos with your camera (照相机). And that is not easy. It needs much talent (天赋). When you take photos, you have to think about how to do it so it will look good. And you have to be very careful (细致的).”

Now Rebecca isn’t sad. She knows there are many kinds of art in the world and many kinds of artists.

It is 4:30 in the afternoon. Some boys come back from the playground. Miss Green is under the tree. There is a schoolbag in her hand. She is talking with the boys.

"Is this your schoolbag?"

"No, it isn't. Mine is black," says David. "It looks like Tom's," says Mike.

"No, it is not his schoolbag," says Paul. "His schoolbag is blue, but it’s red." Paul comes and says, "Peter can’t find his schoolbag. It's his, I think." "It isn’t his," says Bill, "His schoolbag is old, but it's new." "Oh, there is a red hat in it. Whose（谁的）hat is it?" asks Bill. "It’s Eric's hat."

"Where is your schoolbag, Eric?" asks Miss Green. "Oh dear! It's my schoolbag! Thank you!"
