During my recent travels in China, I went from the top to the bottom of the country. I was astonished at 【小题1】 different the weather was in different cities.

The weather was 【小题2】 (extreme) cold in Harbin, but felt much warmer in Shanghai, Guilin, Qingdao and Yangshuo. Each city has a different feel and allows you 【小题3】 (experience) different things.

In Qingdao, we ate seafood, 【小题4】 (drink) beer and swam in the sea. In Harbin, we wore our warmest jackets and saw the 【小题5】 (amaze) ice and snow sculptures. Shanghai reminded me 【小题6】 a city in Europe or America. There were lots of Western cafes there. Guilin was a good place to be touring around during the Spring Festival. Fireworks filled the sky and the streets were filled with happy people.

But Yangshuo 【小题7】 (be) my favorite city of all. I could not stop taking 【小题8】 (photo) of the beautiful mountains and the Li River. I rode a bicycle along the Yulong River in the warm sun and I ate strawberries and drank tea 【小题9】 came from farms in the mountains.

Now, back in Beijing, I am looking forward to the next trip. I suppose I 【小题10】 (go) to another warm place next time.

You didn’t reach the top of the mountain, but you got a lot on the way.”

It is true that not every job will end up with success (成功), and not every dream will come true. The most beautiful scenery (风景) is on the way.

I’m having a great time in Hong Kong. It’s a great p【小题1】 to visit and I’m lucky to be here for my six-month English course. Some other students are learning Japanese. What languages would you like to l【小题2】?

There’s just so much to see and do here. Last night I went to a Chinese musical concert (音乐会). Most of my friends like l【小题3】 music that they can dance to. I prefer q【小题4】, traditional music, so the concert suited me very well. What kind of music do you like?
