Me and my family tree

Here is a book about my family tree.

I have a brother, a mommy and a daddy, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins too. How are they related to（与……相关）me? I’ll show you on my family tree.

First I start with me. Then comes my big brother, Alan. We’re both part（部分）of my family tree. These are my parents—my mommy and daddy. They’re part of my family tree.

This is my mommy’s mommy—my grandma. This is my mommy’s daddy—my grandpa. This is my Daddy’s mommy—my nana. This is my daddy’s daddy—my poppa. They’re all part of my family tree. Mommy has a sister—my aunt Sally. She’s married to（与……结婚）my uncle Lee. They have a daughter—my cousin Alice.

Daddy has a brother—my uncle Jim. He’s married to my aunt Margie. They have two sons—my cousin Jeff and my cousin David. Daddy also has a sister—that’s my aunt Pat.

They’re all part of my family tree. Now can you guess how I came to be?

Think of it! Everyone in the world has a family tree, just like you and me.

Hello, boys and girls! My name is Mark. I am 12 years old. I’m in No. 8 Middle School. Our school is big and nice. This is my classroom and here is my desk. Look! A photo of my family is on it.

The man(男子) in black and the woman(女子) in yellow are my parents Edward and Rose. They are teachers in my school, but they teach(教) in different classes. Edward teaches English, but Rose is a Chinese(语文) teacher. Who are the man in blue and the woman in purple? They are my uncle John and my aunt Sally. John and Sally are office workers(公司职员).

Look at those two girls! They are my sisters. The girl in white is Nancy and the girl in orange is Lily. They are very nice girls. Who is the boy in a brown jacket? He is John and Sally’s son. His name is George. He and I are of the same age(年龄). He is in my school, too.

Can you find a boy in a blue jacket in this photo? It’s me. Blue is my favorite color. I have a dog in my family. Its name is Jimmy. My family all like it.

Wang Hai has an aunt. Her name is Wang Huan. She is the sister of Wang Hai’s father Wang Gang. Ms Wang is from Beijing, China, but now she is in New York, America(美国).

Ms Wang has a special(特别的) family. She has “three children(孩子).” They are Mary, Bill and Mike. Mary is a nice girl. She is from Shanghai, China. Bill is an American boy. He is five years old. Mary and Bill have no parents, so Ms Wang adopted(收养) them and she is their mother now. Ms Wang likes dogs very much. Mike is the name of her dog. She is the “mother” of the dog, too.

Ms Wang thinks(认为) she has a happy family. Do you think so, my friends?
