People eat different things in different parts of the world.

In South China, people eat rice every day. Sometimes they eat it two or three ________ a day, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They usually eat it with fish, meat and vegetables.

The program was about food waste (浪费). It asked cooks to make meals from food that people threw away (扔掉). The cooks went to ________ to find food. They found lots of bread. Eat in a New Way

“We have too many potatoes.” said Caroline.

“Too many!”said his brother, Stewart. “I _________ them.”

“We have mashed potatoes for lunch, for dinner and for breakfast.” said Caroline. “Thanksgiving is over.” said Steward, crossing his arms. “We want new _________.” Every year, when Thanksgiving arrives, everyone comes over to their house: aunts and uncles and cousins. For the family meal, mashed potatoes are a must. But when everyone _________, mashed potatoes are still there. The food is kept in the fridge and will sit on children’s plates for days and days. “Please. Mom! Could we have something _________?”

“Anything but mashed potatoes, Mom!”

Then, she put up the potatoes into pieces, covered them with floured, added (增加) some pepper and salt, and put them into the hot oil.
