I’m so excited. Guess what— it’s my Dad’s 【小题1】 (forty) birthday next week, so we’re going to London 【小题2】 (celebrate) it! Cool, eh?

On Thursday evening, we’re flying over 【小题3】 of taking the train because travelling by air is much 【小题4】 (comfortable). As soon as (一……就……) we 【小题5】 in London, we’ll go on a tour (旅行) of the city. We’ll take a trip on the River Thames, which divides (划分) the city into two parts. This way, we can see almost every place of 【小题6】 in London.

On 【小题7】 morning, we’re going to the Tate Modern. Since it’s not 【小题8】 from our hotel, we’re planning to walk there. In the afternoon, we’re going to the London Eye. I can’t 【小题9】 to see the Houses of Parliament from up there because I have been waiting so long!

Saturday is for 【小题10】 (shop). Mum advises me 【小题11】 (buy) a teddy bear for my cousin as a present. We’re going to Portobello Road in the morning. Then in the afternoon, we’ll visit Harrods—one of 【小题12】 (famous) shops in London. Dad’s not very happy about it, but I’m sure he’ll 【小题13】 it when we’re there.

On Sunday morning, we’re going to Hyde Park, and we’re going home by plane in the afternoon.

My name is Julia. I l【小题1】 in Wuhan now. It’s very cold in winter here, s【小题2】 my family decide (决定) to go on a trip to Shenzhen. We go there by train. It 【小题3】 /teɪks/ us about five hours to get there. After we g【小题4】 off the train, the guide is waiting for us at the train station. 【小题5】 /ðen/ he takes us to the hotel. It’s 7:30 p.m. when we get to the hotel. We have dinner in a restaurant n【小题6】 to the hotel. The food there is very 【小题7】 /dɪˈlɪʃəs/. I really like it. We plan 【小题8】 (stay) in Shenzhen for three days.

At this moment, we are on a 【小题9】 / ˈbjuːtɪf(ə)l／beach (海滩). I’m l【小题10】 on the beach and enjoying the sun. It’s relaxing (放松的) for 【小题11】 (I). What are my family doing now? A few years ago, I took my family to Disney World in the summer holidays. During the trip, my 6-year-old daughter was 【小题1】 a lot of special attention in all the parks, while her 3-year-old brother was overlooked（忽略）. He was a shy kid and seemed fine with it for the most part.

Since 【小题2】 of my kids loved the movie Finding Nemo, we decided that we wouldn’t miss the show Turtle Talk with Crush. 【小题3】 this show, the green sea turtle called Crush from Finding Nemo would have a talk with visitors. My son really wanted to be chosen to talk with Crush, but he was too afraid to 【小题4】 his hand. My daughter was not afraid and put up her hand, so the cast（全体演员）members 【小题5】 my daughter. As the show came to an 【小题6】, we found my son on the floor softly crying. Someone asked me if he was OK, and I explained that he was disappointed（失望的）【小题7】 his sister had been getting so much attention and this was the one thing he had really hoped to be chosen for. A cast member told us to wait.

Once the room was empty, Crush came back onto the screen and 【小题8】 a few minutes talking one-to-one with my son about what it was like to live in the sea, even giving 【小题9】 a little swimming lesson. I can’t tell you how 【小题10】 we were that the cast at the show had gone out of their way to help a sad kid. I think it made a big difference to my son.
