Everyone needs friends. There is an old saying ,‘Friends are God’s way of taking care of us.” But how do you find real friend and keep it?
A Chinese writer Bai   Xun tells young students some smart ways to find friends. She says finding friendship is just like planting a tree. You plant the seed and take care of it to make it grow.
First, you should choose a friend. What makes a good friend? It is not because a person has money or good looks .A good friend should be kind and patient .For example , if you have a bad day, a good friend should listen to your complaints and do his or her best to help you. To make a friend, you can not be too shy. You should make each other happy and share your lives.
But things cannot always be happy. Even the best friends have fights. What should they do when you have a fight with your friend ? You have to talk to him or her .When there is no one around , have an honest talk. If he or she doesn’t want to talk, you could write a letter.
There are three steps to being friends again: Tell him or her how you are feeling, say what your friend has done wrongly, and explain why you did this or that . Remember that friendship is the most important thing in your life.

A team of scientists at a famous university studied the phone records(记录) of more than 3.2 million mobile users. 【小题2】 The parts include( 包含) the people they called, how often they called each person and the length of each call.

The team found that those aged 25 and under talked more on the phone than any other age group. For the most part, people are focusing on(集中于) about 15 friends each month. Among them, young people mainly talk to their friends. 【小题3】

However, after the age of 25, things change. We seem to lose more friends than we make by the age of 45. “【小题4】 The changes are often caused by their marriage and parenthood(父母身份). I have a good friend. Her name is Daphne. I think she is a bit stingy and easy to get angry. When I have some nice snacks or other things, I will share them with her. But she never shares anything with me. And if I gently play jokes on her, she will shout at me.

What should I do? Can you help me?

Breda

Dear Breda,

It seems that your friend is a bit difficult to get along with. But there are two things for you to think about.

The first is that you might not know as much about your friend as you think you do. Do you know what her life is like at home? Her parents might fight with each other often. What do you know about her feelings? She might be upset or worried, and doesn’t know who to turn to for help. These things can make people act in strange ways.

Then again, maybe your friend is just difficult to deal with(对待). How important is her friendship to you? Sometimes you just have to know how to choose a good friend. It is not an easy thing to do.
