There are many different kinds of TV shows. What kind of TV shows do you like? We had a discussion with my family.

My mother likes watching soap operas. She can relax by watching them after dinner. She loves to watch them after dinner. But my father can’t stand soap operas. He thinks they’re boring. My father enjoys watching news. He hopes to find out what’s going on around the world. My little sister says she likes cartoons best. Cartoon characters are always funny. They make children laugh. As for students, boys and girls like different shows. Most girls like talent shows. It’s really interesting to watch performers show their talents. And some are truly talented. However, boys like action movies. And they also love science fiction(科幻片). They are really exciting. They expect to learn a lot from the shows.

Have Dinner First

Tom is only five years old. He likes cartoons very much. When there are cartoons on TV, he always (A) ________ (watch) them until they’re over. He thinks they are interesting. Yesterday, Tom heard there would be an interesting cartoon on TV. In the morning, when he got up, he turned on the TV, but he didn’t see the program (节目) on it. He had to have breakfast and then went to school. After school, he ran home. When he got home, he turned on the TV, but he couldn’t find the cartoon. He asked his mother for help.

“It’s only five o’clock now,” said his mother. “the carton will (C) be on after dinner.”

“Well, let’s have dinner right now!”
