In England, traffic keeps on the left. Cars, buses and bikes all move on the left side of the road. But the traffic keeps on the right in China. So when you are in England, you must be very careful in the street. Before you cross a street you must stop and look both ways. Look right and look left and look right again. If the traffic lights are red, the traffic must stop. Then the people on foot can cross the road. If the traffic lights are green, the traffic can go. People on foot mustn’t cross.

In the morning and in the evening, when people go to or come back from work, the streets are very busy. Traffic is very dangerous.

When you go by bus in England, you have to be careful, too. Always remember the traffic moves on the left. If you don’t have a look first, you will go the wrong way.

In many English cities, there are big buses with two floors. You can sit on the second floor. From there you can see the city very well. It’s very interesting.

Maxime and Lise are young German couple (夫妇). They are ready to travel across China from Beijing to Yunnan Province on a tandem bicycle. They have two main aims (目的) for their tour. One of them is that they want to encourage (提倡) green travel through it.

Maxime, 26, works for helping farmers raise their cows, while his wife Lise, 26, is a teacher. The two also like sharing their travel stories on Facebook. “We choose a tandem bicycle because it makes it easier to talk with each other about interesting people and things during the trip. Besides, bicycling is healthier. And it’s cheaper and more environment-friendly than cars, motors and so on,” the couple said.

Another aim of their trip, the two said they want to get people’s good ideas on topics such as health, economy and politics. When they were asked why they chose to visit China, they said it was because they often talked about its long history and beauty and how much the country is competitive (有竞争力的) in the world.

“We know China is a great country and will be the leader of the economy around the world in the future. We want to get a better understanding of the country and its people.” they said. The couple will be on their trip to China soon.

I’m Kevin, a student of Grade 9. Most of my friends walk to school, but I like to ride my bike each day. I wake up at 7:00. After I wash my face and eat breakfast, I throw the schoolbag on my back. Do I have my books and homework? Yes, I do.

I take my bike, hop（跳）onto it and ride to school at 7: 30. “See you later. Mum,” I say. I pass my friends when I ride by. “Hi, Kevin!” they call when I pass. Mary does not want to ride with me. She does not like to wear a schoolbag. She likes to carry her books in her arms when she walks. She likes to kick the autumn leaves. But she likes to look at the flowers the best.

Not me! I like to ride my bike to feel the fresh air in my face. When I get to school, I lock my bike in the bicycle park. I walk across the field to say hi to Mr Brown and wait for my friends in our classroom.
