In many English homes, people have four meals(餐)a day breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea (茶) and dinner.

People have breakfast from 7: 00 to 9: 00 in the morning. They eat eggs or (或者)bread . English people drink tea or milk for breakfast, too. Lunch comes at about 13: 00. Afternoon tea is from 16: 00 to 17: 00, and dinner is about 19: 30. They often have soup (汤), and they have some chicken or fish with vegetables. Then they eat some bananas, apples or oranges. But not all English people have meals like that. Some of them don’t have their dinners in the evening(晚上).

Can you cook? This teenager can and his mum is very happy with him.

Tom is like any other teenager, He goes to school. studies at school., does his homework, meets his friends and enjoys doing sports after school.

But between 5:30 and 6:30 from Monday to Friday. Tom cooks breakfast for all the family; Mum. Dad. younger brother Joe and elder sister Emma

"I think it's important for teenagers to learn how to cook Math and English are important, of course. but they need other skills too to help them in today's world. First I taught Tom how to cook easy meals like hamburgers or egg and chips. Then he started using recipes in my cookery books .Yesterday he made vegetable soup, It was very good!" Tom's mum says.

"I love cooking and I'm really good at it. None of my friends cook, I don't know why, it isn't difficult and it's great fun. I can also get up early in the morning. It makes me relaxed." Tom says.

In the past, Tom got up late in the morning Sometimes he went to school without breakfast. He didn't help out at home. His mum wasn't happy with him. Today, things are different and she is very happy.
