The West Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in China. It’s in Hangzhou. There are wonderful words and poems written to describe it, including those written by Su Dongpo, a poet in the Song dynasty. Standing on its shores, one can easily understand Su’s comparing the West Lake to Xizi, an ancient Chinese beauty.
Visitors to the lake often spend their time viewing the “Ten Scenes of the West Lake(西湖十景)”.
