The world is so colorful in our eyes. But does it look the same through the eyes of animals?

Animals live a different life from us humans. They have different needs. So their eyesight(视力) is special in all kinds of ways.

	Dogs can see fewer colors than us and they can only see blue, brown and yellow. So when you go out with your pet dog, you’d better wear blue or yellow clothes so that your dog can follow you more easily.
	Mice can move one eye in different directions while keeping the other eye still. It’s better to see their enemies. They can’t see as many colors as us. It’s not necessary because they mostly come out at night.
	Horses are very tall and their eyes are on either side of the heads, so they can see wider than humans. However, a horse has a blind point in front of its nose. They can see green and blue, but most of the time they see grey.

Our teacher asked us what our favorite animal was and I said, “Fried chicken”. She said I wasn’t funny, but she wasn’t right, because everyone else laughed.

My parents told me to always be truthful and I am. Fried chicken is my favorite food. I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA (善待动物组织). He said they love animals very much. I do, too. Especially chicken, pork and beef: Anyway my teacher sent me to the principal’s office (校长室). I. told him what happened, and he laughed, too. Then he told me not to do it again.

The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was. I told her it was chicken. She asked me why, just like she’d asked the other children. I told her it was because people could make them into fried chicken. She sent me back to the principal’s office. He laughed, and told me not to do it again. I don’t understand. My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn’t like it when I am.

Today, my teacher asked us to tell her what famous person we like most.

I told her, “Colonel Sanders (肯德基创始人).”

Here is some very good news for you. New animals come to our zoo. They are happy to meet you. Do you like the tiger and the elephant?
