Little Bob was born in a poor village in New York. His father has been ill for a long time and can not do any housework at all. Bob’s mother is very busy with the housework besides working. Bob understands how hard his mother works, and he always helps her with some housework. Though he has too much housework to do, his mother is still very strict with him. There are some family rules for Bob.

He must take good care of his things in his room and keep them tidy. If he makes them dirty, he must clean them up at once.

He is allowed to keep a parrot, a cat and a dog, but he must feed them often and give them water by himself every day. After school, he is allowed to play with his pets for a short time.

As for his clothes, he isn’t allowed to choose his own clothes. When his clothes are dirty, he should wash them by himself.

On school nights, he can’t go out alone and only on weekends, he is allowed to watch TV. Sometimes Bob hates the rules so much that he wants to break them, but he thinks the rules his mother has made are good for him, so he faithfully obeys them.

Rules tell you what you are allowed and not allowed to do. Generally speaking, there are four kinds. The first one is the instructions that one person has to follow in the given order. The instructions can lead him to a certain goal. The second one is the orders that have been passed down from one generation (代) to others. The third one teaches people how to behave well so that they can meet good results. The fourth one is the plans that are used in a certain way to increase the chance of reaching a special goal.

Rules play an important role in our society. They help build a harmonious (和谐的) relationship. If every person was allowed to do as they wanted, we would probably meet killing, stealing and something terrible like these. The rules can surely prevent such things happening. Rules can also help keep people safe. For example, we all know that if there were no traffic rules, there would be more accidents. What’s more, rules can help build a more serious environment. It is a rule that students should wear uniforms in almost all schools. But what would happen if there was no such rule? Students would care more about what they look like!

However, rules need to be used correctly. One should offer learning experience so that people are glad to accept rules. Also one should offer people rules in a simple and clear way. After that, one should tell them the possible results if the rules are not followed.

In a word, following rules is a useful way to bring you happiness, or at least, a peaceful life. However, it is important to choose the proper ones.

Poseidon is the brother of Zeus.He is the god of the sea. Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite rises from the waves of the sea. She makes everyone feel love.

There are also gods and goddesses of the home, of war, of music, of the city and of fire. The Greeks held many festivals to show respect to them. They built temples to be the gods and goddesses’homes.People prayed（祈祷）and gave gifts to the gods and goddesses to make their wishes come true-for a good harvest, or for a good journey,or for their children to become beautiful.
