It was raining hard as I was walking up the hill towards the station at six o’clock on a Saturday morning. At this early hour there wasn’t much traffic and there weren’t many people. Just as I was crossing the road near the top of the hill, a car came around the corner. It was traveling very fast. Suddenly it hit a lamp post（路灯柱）and turned over.

I ran to the car to help the driver at once. He was badly hurt and there was a lot of blood on his face. A young woman hurried into the station and phoned an ambulance（救护车）when I took care of the driver. Many people came to see what happened. A policeman arrived a few minutes later and asked me a lot of questions about the accident. After a while the ambulance arrived and the driver was sent to the hospital.

On Monday morning I went to the hospital to see the man. The doctor told me that he was much better, and he would leave the hospital after a few days’ rest.

How was your summer vacation? My family visited the Everglades National Park in America this vacation. 【小题1】

On the first day, when we got to the park, it was getting dark. As we went down the road, I almost stepped (踩) on something! 【小题2】 We turned on our flashlights and we took a close look and found it was an alligator (美洲短吻鳄). That was scary but interesting. There were quite a few alligators around. 【小题3】 She told us that we’d better turn off the flashlights so that we could see them more clearly.

On the second day, we saw another kind of interesting animals—dolphins (海豚). 【小题4】 They were kept in the pool dancing or playing games for people. But in the Everglades National Park, we saw them swimming freely and happily in the river. Some of them jumped out of the water. 【小题5】 My youngest sister was so excited that she jumped up and down. After about five minutes, it seemed that they felt bored and swam away.

It was such an interesting trip that I would never forget it.

A singer once went to a master. He wanted to be the best singer. He sat in front of the master and started telling him why he visited. 【小题1】

The master then told the singer to go to the garden behind his house. There, a rose plant and a tall tree were growing side by side. He told the singer, “【小题2】 They can teach you what you want to learn.”

The master himself took the singer to the plants and said, “This tree has been next to the rose plant for ten years. Or, if man were the rose plant, he would feel jealous at its height! Both of the plants grew very well because they grew with all their energy (精力), 【小题5】”
