My birthday is in August, but my favorite month is October. Because we have many activities this month. We have a music festival in our school every term. It comes on October 15th. I like music. So I want to sing that day. October 18th is my cousin’s birthday. I am 4 years older than her. She wants to have a birthday party. She asks me to buy some food and think about some games for the party with her on October 17th. Then all her friends can have a good time. Sports Day comes on October 20th. I will play basketball. I need to play for my class because my friends think I am a basketball star. On the last day of this month, we will have a school trip to Sanxingdui. There are so many things to do but I think they are interesting. I want to do all of them well.

Students can’t have strange hair in some British schools. But the students can wear certain hairstyles (发型) during the World Cup years. After the World Cup,   their teachers will ask them to go to the barber’s (理发店).

First, October 1st is National Day. We have a seven-day holiday (假期). It’s from October 1st to October 7th. During (在……期间) the National Day holiday, I often take a trip with my parents.

Then we have some interesting school activities in October this year. On October 11th, we have a ping-pong game. And on October 13th we have a basketball game. I don’t like basketball because it’s difficult for me. But I think ping-pong is easy. I like ping-pong and I play it very well. We have a book sale on October 20th. I have two old books and I want to sell them. The art festival is fun. We have it on October 29th. And my birthday is on this day, too.
