I am writing this e-mail to tell you about my school.

My school is a little old, but there are many interesting places in it. There is a small library and I can read and do my homework there. There is also a music room. We often have our music class there. There are three computer rooms and a big gym too. Of all the places, I like the gym best. I like going there after class to play basketball.

The school timetable is good. Classes start at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 3:00 p.m. It gives me time to do after-school activities. I go to the English club three times a week. There I can read English books, watch English movies and listen to English songs.

Children in Japan have been talking about their hating the weight of their traditional backpacks. In a survey, more than 90% said that their bags gave them sore shoulders and backs. Schoolbags can weigh up to 22 pounds when packed with books and other supplies students need. Some schools allow children to leave textbooks home at night to help lighten their bags.

Students disagree with toilet rules

Students have been fighting against new rules making it difficult to go to the toilet during lessons. On February 24, four middle schools in Cornwall, England, reported students refused to go to class. Penrice School in Cornwall said it wouldn’t stop a student going to the toilet if they really needed to.

The UK’s greenest school is being rebuilt

A school in Derby, the UK, that was harmed by a fire is being rebuilt to be the UK’s greenest school. St Mary’s Catholic Primary School has been redesigned to help students feel more connected with nature. There will be wildflowers and solar panels (太阳能电池板) on the roof, and large windows so students can have views of greenery.
