A man has changed his 4x4 truck into a mobile travel home. Tim Johnson, 38, born in Alaska, had been using old truck to explore the country until last year when he bought a better one — a 1996 Ford F350.
After an unbelievable improvement, the truck can host six people, and it can hold two sofas, fridge, toilet, heating, DVD player, USB charging stations, under couch and so on. Tim said, “My truck house is perfect, it has everything I need to stay out for as long as I need.”
Most of the improvement work was carried out by Tim himself, who picked up DIY skills from his dad. He added, “My Dad builds custom cabins for a living and was self-taught in all of the trades and that’s who I learned my carpentry(木工手艺)and overall DIY skills from.”
He bought a classic Ford truck for just under£10,000 because he wanted to finally create his own dream truck house.
“I started improving it last year, fitted an airbag and improved the engine and turbo (涡轮增压), it took me a couple of months to finish,” he said. To build the house on the back of the truck cost another£10,000, pushing the overall total up to around£20,000.
