All around the world, people drink tea. But tea doesn’t mean the same thing to everyone. In different countries, people have different ideas about drinking tea.   People in China like to drink tea with nothing in it, and they often have it with their friends or by themselves. They have two kinds of tea — green tea and black tea. They may drink tea at any time of the day anywhere. But they don’t often drink tea just before they go to bed, for tea makes them awake.   In England, people like to drink tea with milk and sugar in it, and they often have it in the afternoon with their friends.   In Japan, people also like drinking tea very much. It is very popular there. They drink tea every day. They have it in a way different from that in China. Some young Japanese girls are good at making tea. They can do it beautifully.   In the USA, people drink tea at breakfast or after meals. They usually use tea bags to make their tea. Making tea with tea bags is faster and easier than making it with tea leaves in teapots.

“No freedom (自由) summer holiday” has become a popular topic on Weibo, as parents begin spending much time and money planning their children’s holiday. It has been a similar (相似的) topic these years, when “Having 30,000 yuan a month cannot afford the summer holiday” also goes popular online.

According to a survey, parents in big cities are most willing to spend on their children’s education during the break.

“I feel much more stressed during the summer holiday than on normal school days since I need to plan different activities for my children. A study tour costs 35,000 yuan for a kid and there are also classes which are necessary for kids,” said Chan Lee, a 40-year-old mother of two primary schoolchildren.

Sending children on overseas tours has also become an important part of the break. Almost everyone in Chan’s children’s classes has joined a summer study tour. They wanted to experience an overseas educational environment, culture, and language through meeting people, visiting famous universities and sightseeing.

Cheng Guowei, a manager of a study tour center based in Shanghai, said parents care about their children’s education. “Nearly 95% of our participants (参与者) are students, and most of them are primary and middle school kids. Yet this market is also very competitive (有竞争力的), as there are many similar centers targeting the parents,” he said.

Yin Jianli is a writer. She is interested in family and education topics. She said it was unnecessary to plan too many activities for children during the summer holidays.

“Parents are not helping their children. They are just doing it to cut down their own worry,” she said. Many parents thought they could buy their children a better education, “But actually a summer holiday should be a time for rest and play, not study,” she said.

Life in the future will be different from life today. Between then and now, many changes will take place (发生). But what will the changes be?

Computers will be much smaller and more useful and there will be at least one in every home. And computer studies will be one of the most important subjects in school then.

People will work fewer hours than they do now and they will have more free time for sports, watching TV and travelling. Travelling will be much cheaper and easier. And many people will go to other countries on holidays.

There will be changes in our food, too. More land will be used for building new towns and houses. Then there will be less room for cows and sheep, so meat will be more expensive. Maybe people won’t eat meat every day. Instead, they will eat more fruits and vegetables. And people will be healthier.

Work in the future will also be different. Robots will do dangerous and hard work. Because of this, many people will lose their jobs. This will be a problem.
