Quebec is the largest province (省) in Canada and is in the southeast of the country. Its most places are covered (覆盖) by forests, and most of its land is not a good place for people to live. But there you can enjoy different weather in different seasons.

Nature (自然) comes back to life in spring in Quebec. It’s great for people to go boating and fish in the rivers and lakes. Restaurants open their doors and make the streets full of life. People can have a great Quebec meal in the local (当地的) restaurants.

When summer arrives, it turns hot very quickly. Most of the Quebecers go on vacation and visit different places in summer. It is the greatest season to enjoy hiking (远足) and biking.

After the summer, autumn stays with people until (直到) the first snowfall. It is the most colorful season. You can see red, orange, yellow and green leaves. Visiting a farm or picking your own fruit and vegetables is a great family activity (活动).

In Quebec, the winter season is the longest because the snow stays for over five months. Skiing and dogsledding (狗拉雪橇) become more and more popular. Another great thing you can’t miss in winter is the Quebec Winter Carnival (狂欢节). The carnival, from the end of January to mid﹣February, has many big activities such as races, snow art shows and outdoor music festivals. And it’s the largest and oldest winter carnival in the world.

We have some interesting and fun things this term. On September 8th, we have a school trip with our teachers. On September 10th, we have a party to celebrate the Teachers’ Day. October is a great month. We have an art festival on October 1st. It is the National Day (国庆节). We have a tennis game on October 20th. School Day is on November 5th. Your parents can come to the school. We have a book sale in the school library on November 17th. And we have an English party on January 1st. It’s New Year’s Day. It’s a really busy term.
