Hello, everyone! I’m Betty King and I come 【小题1】 America. Today I would like to say something about Halloween (万圣节). It is 【小题2】 important festival in the USA. It 【小题3】 (have) a history of about 2, 000 years.

Halloween is on 31 October. It isn’t a holiday in the USA. Students have lessons as usual (像往常一样). But they have 【小题4】 (party) in the evening. They have many ways (方法) to have fun. Most of them like to wear special clothes for the festival. There are always many games on Halloween. 【小题5】 (child) like to play “trick or treat” best, and then they can get candies from 【小题6】 (they) neighbours (邻居). And another game is biting (咬) apples. Do you know how to play it? Kids put some apples in a box full of water. One of them tries to get an apple with the mouth, not with a hand. It is a very easy game, but everyone 【小题7】 (enjoy) it.

Of course, there 【小题8】 (be) many jack-o’-lanterns. I am good at making one out of a pumpkin (南瓜). There is always lots of fun on Halloween.

The summer holiday is coming. During this holiday, I will go to London 【小题1】 plane with my parents. In order to have a wonderful trip, I have made a 【小题2】 for it. We plan to 【小题3】 some places of interest. We will go to see Tower Bridge first. Tower Bridge is 【小题4】 excellent building. It has a 【小题5】 history of over 130 years. London is 【小题6】 for this building, and millions of tourists go there every year. We will stay there for five days. I believe that we can enjoy 【小题7】 very much.

And then, we will leave London for my uncle’s house in Pinhurst. My uncle is a good cook. He always cooks delicious meals for us when we visit him. And he is a good TV news reporter, 【小题8】. I really like to talk with him 【小题9】 I can learn many things from him. And we will 【小题10】 one week staying there. And then, we will fly home. I think my plan is very good, and I hope all of us will have a great time during this holiday.

Tim is a little boy. He is only ten years old. But he 【小题1】 (like) travelling. He 【小题2】 (study) in a primary school now. Last summer vacation, he 【小题3】 (spend) his holiday with his parents. They went to a holiday resort (度假村). After they 【小题4】 (stop) the car there, they climbed the mountain first. It was a little cold on the mountain. Luckily, they 【小题5】 (take) their clothes with them. It didn’t take them a long time 【小题6】 (get) to the top, just half an hour.

They had lunch on the top of the mountain. When they finished 【小题7】 (eat) food, it was two o’clock. At that time, they 【小题8】 (find) a small animal in the tree, but they didn’t know its name. Their parents were interested in it.

After 【小题9】 (go) back to the resort, they relaxed and felt very happy. they enjoyed a big dinner. At about 8 o’clock, they played games. They really had so much fun there. They hope that they 【小题10】 (go) there again one day.

Last week I 【小题11】 (have) a great vacation with my family. We had great fun 【小题12】 (play) in different places.

On Monday, the weather 【小题13】 (be) sunny and hot. We 【小题14】 (go) to White Beach and swam in the water. On Tuesday, it was cloudy. We 【小题15】 (visit) two parks. We had a picnic there. On Wednesday and Thursday, it was rainy, we 【小题16】 (walk) in the city. We bought some clothes and 【小题17】 (eat) something nice. On Friday, the weather was cool. We went 【小题18】 (shop) in the supermarket. We 【小题19】 (be) very tired but felt very happy.

I really 【小题20】 (enjoy) my vacation. How wonderful it was!
