What is 5G? It is the newest mobile network technology (移动网络技术). Huawei started to work on it in 2009. They finally made it at the end of 2018. And it is said that people in Jiangsu can use 5G first in September, 2019.

5G is a new start of China mobile network technology. In the past, 1G let us talk to each other. 2G let us send messages. 3G let us connect with the Internet and 4G made all of these things faster. Now 5G is much faster. With 5G, we can download (下载) a two-hour movie in about 3 seconds. Now with 4G we need about 6 minutes.

What’s more, 5G brings us more changes. For example, we can use 5G to drive a car. Cars can send or receive messages faster. 5G can also connect our home to the Internet. Before you get home, you can turn on the air-conditioner by remote control (遥控) with your mobile phone.

Performances using animals have been stopped by many countries around the world in recent years.

Animals play an important part in our lives and are more than tools for sports and entertainment. The human-animal connection can be seen in all kinds of places. Service animals can help people in their jobs and animals are also used to help and care for people with illnesses or who have experienced bad accidents.“We can have our sports, drinks, lively parties and beautiful hats—but we can leave the animals out of it,” reported Vox, journalist from World Animal Protection.

In the small villages of Kenya, Africa, most kids want to read books. But no roads lead to their homes, only miles and miles of sand. Cars and trucks are not useful. So library books arrive on the backs of camels (骆驼). Camels can carry (携带) the books along the sand. Two camels, a driver, and a librarian walk to the villages. One camel carries about 400 pounds of books, and the other carries a tent. At each village, the librarian sets up the tent and puts the books inside. Two weeks later, the camels come back with new books.

Some people in Thailand live on mountains and in jungles. Elephants carry the “libraries” on their backs. These large elephants can help carry books along the difficult way. Because of their size, they can carry many heavy books in metal (金属) cases. The metal helps the books away from the heavy rain.

Indonesia has its own problems. There are over 17,000 islands in this country. So most people travel by boat, and so do their library books. A wooden library boat holds about 500 books in boxes. Boxes of books are left in villages. A few weeks later new books arrive.

For people who live far away and can't get to a library, this kind of library can bring more than books. It brings a whole world of happiness and hope.
