Strawberries look nice, but a light pressure can make them out of shape. Nowadays, there are many young people who are just like strawberries. 【小题1】 They don’t know what to do when they are in trouble. They have a common name — strawberry kids.

Why are many students so easy to break down? 【小题2】 Parents do almost everything for them in their daily life, while schools care more about their grades instead of developing their personality(个性) .

Liu Yue, 13, is from Fujian. His mom hardly criticizes(批评) him and he always feels good about himself. When a teacher criticized him strictly, he felt surprised and sad. 【小题3】

Students should do something to make themselves mentally strong. An expert said, “When you are in trouble, don’t ask for help too quickly. You should try to deal with problems first by yourself. I also advise you to take an active part in sports and social activities. That can make you mentally strong.”

Mr. Stevens walked around the class handing out math books. Then he returned to the front of the class and looked at us. We looked back. “What are you waiting for? Get started!” he said.

My friend Paul and I opened our books to the first page. A competition began. Paul and I spent all our free time at home working through the lessons. Mr. Stevens, true to his word, helped anyone who had a problem. It was not a normal way of teaching but it worked well. Paul and I worked like dogs and finished two and one half math books that first year.

It was a turning point in my life. Mr. Stevens made me realize I was good at math and that I was able to reach the top of any class I attended. I kept learning that way all through my high school and university.

I’ve carried Mr. Stevens’ lesson with me all my life. Whenever I face a new challenge, I think of the first math class of my junior high. Instead of sitting around, I just get started. Then before I know it, the challenge has been dealt with.

I know these last few weeks have been difficult. There are so many exams over the end of the school year. Sometimes I also feel stressed after a long day’s work but I can’t help wondering if I do enough. Do I prepare you for the road ahead? Could I have done more?

I hope I make your way to high school much easier.

I hope I prepare both your road ahead and your heart.

I hope my strictness makes you stronger.

I hope my kindness makes you feel safe.

I hope my classroom is a place where you learn knowledge and make long-life friends.

At the moment, you are taking the exam. I know you may feel nervous to do well. But, please, do remember that among you, there is an artist who doesn’t need to understand Physics.

There is a successful businessman, who doesn’t care about History or Math.

There is a musician, whose Chemistry grade won’t matter.

There is a sportsperson, whose health is more important than P. E. grades.

If you fail the exam, tell yourself it’s OK! It’s just an exam! Take a rest, work on your weakness and move on.
