“2018 Shantou International Marathon” was successfully held on Dec. 23^rd in 2018. A team from GTIIT(广东以色列理工学院) actively took 【小题1】 in it.

Running 【小题2】 the old and new towns of Shantou, GTIIT students and teachers were given the chances to experience the success and the rapid development of this lively city with century-old history.  

“It's 【小题3】 exciting that you can run with more than 10,000 people," said Tang Shaokai, who comes from Henan Province. He enjoys the race and 【小题4】 that Shantou is a nice city. "You can enjoy different kinds of performances 【小题5】 you are running."

Jason, a student from Shenzhen, joined marathon for the 【小题6】 time. Without any experience, he chose half marathon and spent almost three months 【小题7】 for it. "Overcoming difficulties and finishing this race is the 【小题8】   gift for my 18th birthday," he said.

"It's my first race in China," said Eran Gal-Or, Director of GTIIT Campus Operation and Logistics.  What impressed him most was the support 【小题9】 local people gave the runners by the side of the road and the perfect organization of the race.  "I think that people who join this race from outside can get a very good impression about Shantou. Also, for me 【小题10】 was very encouraging to run alongside some of our students on their first ever race."

A few weeks ago, Wang Shuang, a player on China’s women’s football team, showed off her six-pack abs (六块腹肌) in a video clip. The video soon became p【小题1】 on the Internet and it impressed many people. In my eyes, Wang’s six-pack shows how h【小题2】 she has trained.

These girls have met lots of difficulties. H【小题3】, none of them has ever thought about g【小题4】 up. They once flew to Australia to take part in a match. Because of COVID-19, outdoor training was impossible. While some people would take this as a good e【小题5】 for taking a break, the female players chose to go on their training—the hotel hallways became their field.

It was hard not to feel stressed out(有压力的) facing the halftime score of 2-0, but the players didn’t lose heart. The “steel roses” fought hard till the last minute of the competition to w【小题6】 the game.
