It's difficult when you have no good friends around—maybe because you have moved to a different school or a different class or you're sick at home. Help people:
Simple actions, like helping people carry something or opening a door show your kindness.
Smile:

It’s hard to make friends if you stay at home alone all the time. Get out of the house and do things that will put you in touch with other people. It’s easier to make friends when you have the same interests.

Look at people in the eyes when you talk to them. In that way, they will find it easier to talk to you. If don’t, people may think you are not interested in them and may stop being interested in you.

Try to make friends with the kind of people you really like—not just with those who are easy to meet. Be friendly to others. If so, you will have a bigger group of people to choose from and have more chance (机会) to make friends.
