When we 【小题7】 /i:t/ the big dinner, we give our family members the best wishes (祝福) for the coming year. Children usually get some Lucky Money or 【小题8】 /red/ packets (包). At 12:00, we let off fireworks (放烟花) to welcome the coming of the Spring Festival. All the people, rich or poor (富有与贫穷), old or young, are the happiest at this time.

Thanksgiving is an American festival. It is celebrated on the 【小题1】 (four) Thursday in November. It is a time for a special dinner among family and friends. People 【小题2】 (make) short speeches and give thanks for their food.

They have celebrated the festival since 【小题3】 (冠词) first pioneers from England arrived in America by ship in the seventeenth century. The local people, the Native Americans, taught the pioneers how to grow corn. The following year they celebrated together by 【小题4】 (eat) a dinner of the new food.

Today is Sunday. Jim is very happy because it’s his 【小题1】 (twelve) birthday. His good friend, Lily, 【小题2】 (want) to buy him a gift (礼物). In the morning, she goes to 【小题3】 clothes store.

After that, Lily goes to 【小题8】 (Jim) party. Jim likes the gift very much. His father buys a model plane for 【小题9】 (he). His mother buys some 【小题10】 (strawberry) and makes a big birthday cake. They have a good time!
