More and more people like bicycling and it is no surprise. It is fun, healthy and good for the environment. Maybe that’s why there are 1.4 billion bicycles and only 400 million cars on roads worldwide today. Bikes can take you almost anywhere, and there is no oil cost!

Get on a bicycle and ride around your neighbourhood. You may discover something new all around you. Stopping and getting off a bike is easier than stopping and getting out of your car. You can bike to work and benefit (受益) from the enjoyable exercise without polluting the environment. You don’t even have to ride all the way.

Folding (折叠) bikes work well for people who ride the train. Just fold the bike and take it with you. You can do the same on an airplane. A folding bike can be packed in a suitcase. You can also take a common bike with you when you fly. But be sure to look for information by getting on airline websites. Not all airlines are bicycle-friendly to travellers.

Laughter (笑) can help us be free from pain and increase our endurance (忍耐力). A study shows that telling a joke to a friend can help us do more exercise at the gym or go farther on our daily walks.

Joking is also good for our social lives. Compared with staying alone, a person is more likely to laugh when he stays with other people. When someone starts laughing, everyone else laughs too, even if they’re not sure why he is laughing.

Sophie Scott, a British scientist, believes that when we laugh, we are making and keeping social connections. They are very important for our health because keeping connections with people around can make us healthier and live longer. Those who feel more connected to others have less depression (抑郁), and are better at understanding others.

Caspar Addyman, a doctor said babies naturally understood the importance of sharing laughter. “Babies can make you laugh, and you can make them laugh,” he said. “It’s all about connections.” Laughter means that we are part of a group, and we like to be in a group. Actually, spending time with people we care about is the quickest and easiest way to reduce stress and improve our health condition. It’s pretty fun, too.

Do you often run outdoors to keep healthy? Have you ever thought about how running helps to clean up the earth? Sometimes a creative mind can bring us a win-win(双赢) situation.

Plogging, a new way to exercise, began in Sweden(h), The name "plogging" comes from two words—the Swedish(瑞典的) word "plocka", which means "to pick up(捡起), and the word Jouging"", which means" to run slowly". A Swedish man called Erik started the movement, He saw rubbish here and there when riding to work each day. He became worried about the dirty environment and decided not to go to work by bike anymore. Instead, he began to run to work and pick up the rubbish at the same time. To his joy, more and more people followed him and soon plogging became popular.

Many people choose plogging instead of just jogging because they think plogging is a good way to help clean up the earth. Sometimes rubbish is difficult to collect because it may scatter all around. But if the runners pick up the rubbish on the way, it is quite different. Because many hands make light work. Another reason is that plogging burns more calories(卡路里). According to a research, plogging for 10 minutes burns 48 calories, while usual jogging for 10 minutes burns about 39 calories.

Everyone on the earth should play a part in cleaning it up! It's time for us to take action together. So ready? Let's plog tomorrow!
