Last month we asked our students about their free time activities. Our questions were about exercise, use of the Internet and watching TV.
We found that only fifteen percent of our students exercise every day. Forty-five percent exercise four to six times a week. Twenty percent exercise only one to three times a week.
We all know that many students often go online, but we were surprised that ninety percent of them use the Internet every day. The other ten percent use it at least three or four times a week. Most students use it for fun and not for homework.
It is good to relax by using the Internet or watching game shows,

In China, many students spend (度过) their weekends doing homework or watching TV at home.What do the students usually do on weekends in the US?
Donna: I usually study all the weekend. On Saturday, I always study for next week’s lessons all day. On Sunday morning, I like reading books, and I do my homework in the afternoon. In the evening, I talk to my friends on the phone.
Judy: My weekend is usually boring. I clean the house and wash the clothes on Saturday. And on Sunday, I do my homework all day. It is really a tiring weekend.
Glen: On Saturday, I visit some of my friends. We play some interesting games. On Sunday night, I always go to the park with my parents. I really have a great weekend.
Alan: I like to be at home on Saturday. It’s relaxing for me. I often read books all day. And on Sunday. I like seeing old movies (电影) or playing basketball with my friends. My weekend is interesting.
