Once upon a time, there was a man. He lived in a village with his wife (妻子) and two children. They had a hen (母鸡). It laid a golden egg every day. The man sold all the golden 【小题1】. And then the family lived a rich and 【小题2】 life.

But the man was very greedy (贪婪的). He wanted to get all the golden eggs 【小题3】 his hen at a time (一次). So he thought hard about how to achieve (实现) it every day. 【小题4】, he got a plan. He decided to kill (杀死) the hen and get all the eggs. He didn’t want to tell 【小题5】 wife about the plan because he wanted to give her a big surprise. He was so 【小题6】 about his great plan. He even started to sing when he thought of the plan.

On the 【小题7】 day, the man got up very early. After having breakfast, he took a knife and then cut its body open. However, there was 【小题8】 but blood (血液) all around. There weren’t any eggs at all. He was very sad 【小题9】 he would not get even one egg later.

Their 【小题10】 was rich in the past with one golden egg a day, but now it changed a lot. How silly he was!

This story tells us that we should not be a greedy man like the man in the story. Please remember “Greedy men are always poor.”

My family often had a get-together with friends in my childhood. There was always someone who would ask, “What are you going to do when you grow up?”

Well, it started out being a 【小题1】 or a hero. Later it was a fireman, an artist... As I grew older, my dreams of the future changed. When I was going to college, I 【小题2】, “What will you study?”, another question supposed to find out what I would be when I grew up.

By then I decided 【小题3】 a computer programmer. So I was studying software for much of my life. I am happy that I could realize my dream. The realization of my life purpose encourages me to help others to succeed in 【小题4】 own lives.

However, for many, there is a “thief” which 【小题5】 around stealing our dreams. Sometimes, the thief will come as a parent, a relative, or a friend, but the 【小题6】 thief of all is just ourselves.

Usually when we are about to reach the aim, a “small” voice inside will say, “You will never succeed. Very few have ever done this 【小题7】.” And on and on the “small” voice makes us lose heart and fail.

Failure, though, helps our dreams to come true. It is one of the most important 【小题8】 we have. Believe it or not, it teaches us 【小题9】 lessons. And, when we learn these lessons well, we are ready for success.

There are no “overnight” successes, but with perseverance（毅力）, they 【小题10】. So just don’t give up. Let dreams stay in your life.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Lazy. He wanted to have a big house and it took him over a year to 【小题1】 one. The house was 【小题2】 beautiful that all of his neighbors admired(羡慕 ) him very much. But as time went by, his house started to have some problems. One day, an old neighbor went past it and said, “Your house is beautiful, but the grass in the yard is a bit overgrown(杂草丛生).” Lazy answered 【小题3】, “I know, but it’s OK. I will cut it tomorrow.” A few days later, a mailman came by with a letter for Lazy. The mailman said. “Sir, your house is wonderful, but the windows are a bit dirty. You can make it more wonderful by 【小题4】 them.” Lazy replied reluctantly(不情愿地), “I know, but it’s OK. I will do that tomorrow.”

Weeks passed by. Lazy’s yard was in a mess. The paint was falling down and the 【小题5】 were covered with dirt. One day, his brother came over to visit him. He was 【小题6】 at what he saw and scolded(责备) him angrily. “Lazy, I know why you’re called Lazy. You’re just 【小题7】 your name! What have you done for your house? It could fall apart at any second!” Just the next day, 【小题8】 a heavy rainstorm, Lazy’s house fell down!

There are many Lazys around us. Are you lazy, too? Have you ever 【小题9】 off “something” to “tomorrow”, “next month” or even “next year”? It’s much 【小题10】 to just deal with things today than to wait “tomorrow”.
