I’m Maria and I’m from Russia. I’m a student and I love soccer! Right now, I’m in London. I’m at a school to learn to play soccer, and I’m also here to learn English.

I live with a wonderful host family in London. Mrs. Green is from England, while Mr. Green is from Scotland. One of the best parts of living with this family is getting to spend time with their son, Jacob. He’s around my age, and he’s always nice to me. Jacob and I like to play soccer together in the garden. On weekends, the four of us sometimes go for a walk in the center of London. My favorite places are Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge. They’ re all symbols of London, and it’s exciting to see them up close.

I play soccer at school every morning. There are many teams here. The teams are from different countries. I think we are good teams because we all work very hard.

In the afternoon, I go to English classes. My classmates are very nice. I like to talk with Rick best. He’s Chinese. Our English lessons are interesting. Our English teacher Mr. Smith is fun, too.

We have soccer games in the evening. Lots of people come to watch our games. You can’t imagine(想象) how hard we play!
