It was Sunday. Amy read an interesting book named The Emperor’s (国王的) New Clothes. The famous writer Andersen wrote it. Long long ago, there was an emperor. He liked new clothes. One day, two men made new clothes for him. The emperor was very happy. The two men said, “Please try these new clothes. Only clever people can see them.” The emperor couldn’t see the clothes? but he dared not (不敢) to say. So he pretended (假装) to put on some of the clothes. The emperor walked in the street. Because people wanted to flatter (奉承) the emperor, they all said, “What beautiful clothes!” But a boy said, “The emperor isn’t wearing clothes!”
