One night, Bear looks up into the sky and thinks, “Christmas is coming. I can give the moon a Christmas present.” But Bear doesn’t know what the moon would like. First, Bear buys a new hat in a shop. Next, he puts the hat on a tree, so the moon can see it. And the hat fits just right! Then, Bear climbs up a tall tree to talk with the moon, but it is too far away. And the moon can’t hear him. Finally, he climbs up a high mountain to talk to the moon. “Hello!” This time, the mountain echoes back(回声) his own voice(声音). Bear asks the moon, “What would you like for Christmas?” The moon says the same, “What would you like for Christmas?” Bear answers, “I want a hat as my Christmas present.” And he hears the same answer from the moon.
