I've come to the conclusion that I'm terrible at saying "No". For example，last Sunday I was sitting at my desk alone，totally________in my own business，when a colleague of mine phoned and asked me to get involved in________with her. I found myself getting all caught up in her enthusiasm and didn't want to________her. So I said "Sure，why not？" even before the talk________

I found myself agreeing，without giving any________whether it was worth doing. We are both window-shoppers who go to shops but buy nothing and________a whole day in the street. Actually，I hardly have any time to spare because I am very busy________my normal job-I've also got a book to write，a business to________and a family to look after. And then there are my other projects to________—my voluntary work and a couple of other interesting investments that I want to_________.I'm going to have to be more ruthless（残酷无情的）and not just agree to_________people ask me to get involved in. In other words，I'm going to have to get_________at saying "No". Usually I hate saying "No"，because having to disappoint someone usually_________me. Last fall I hung outside my window a bird feeder(喂鸟的食槽)．Knowing ______about wild birds，I ____that_______ I hung this bird feeder outside，numbers of beautiful birds would be swooping(飞扑)to my new addition. However，days，weeks，and months______，NO BIRDS.

Letting me move into my university dormitory wasn’t an easy decision for my parents. However, they knew if I wanted a good ___, I’d have to live away from home. I’d always __ living alone ： the life of no rules and regulations and being independent. So I was __ about this new stage in my life.
