Summer Program Guide for Teens Pre-College Immersive Program
Wellesley College is known for the thousands of accomplished women it has sent out into the world—women who are committed to making a difference. Especially designed for high school girls, the program is based on Wellesley’s campus. Students will take courses and become members of the Wellesley community.

Open to high school students who have an academic average of 3.2 or better, the program is a great introduction to the University of Maryland. Seminars featuring speakers in innovative(革新的) career or academic fields further enrich the learning experience. Students enjoy movie nights, activities at the students’ union and more.

We offer two-week and three-week long trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Australia, Costa Rica, and Spain. All trips include 15 to 25 hours of community service activities. Depending on your trip of choice, you’ll be volunteering with sea turtles, caring for dogs in Spain, and much more. Every trip also includes exciting outdoor activities like surfing, ice climbing and hiking.

Students will visit top schools throughout the state on this fun-filled tour. The tour includes enjoying tourist attractions along the way, including Disneyland! Along the way, students take college tours, meet with admissions staff, and learn how to make the most out of future college visits.

Chocolate Museums and Attractions
Chocolate is one of the most popular desserts in the world, served in countless forms. Serious chocolate-lovers always want to know more about it. These four destinations around the world allow chocoholics to indulge their sweet teeth.
Lindt Home of Chocolate, Zurich
Swiss chocolate has a reputation all its own, and the newly opened Lindt Home of Chocolate made an immediate splash with its nearly 30-foot chocolate fountain and over 5, 000-square-foot chocolate shop, the largest in the world. The museum has exhibits on how chocolate arrived in Europe and well-known chocolate makers. Lindt also offers special chocolate-making classes as a feature. Admission starts at $16. 50 for adults, with an additional fee for tours and courses.
Cadbury World, Birmingham, England
In the United Kingdom, chocolate means one thing: Cadbury. Cadbury World opened in 1990 in the Bournville village, where Cadbury factory starting in 1893 once located. It was considered a model village for workers at the time. One of the exhibits on this self-guided tour focuses on this area and how it impacted the company. Admission is $23 for adults.
Chocoversum, Hamburg, Germany
The Hachez company, which was founded in 1890, created the Chocoversum as a way to showcase their production without bringing guests into the actual factories. Here, the guides, called “ChoColleagues”, bring visitors on a 90-minute exploration of all things chocolate, from a real cocoa pod to the liquid chocolate used in bars. Admission is $22 for adults.
MUCHO Museo del Chocolate, Mexico City
The MUCHO Museo del Chocolate opened in 2012 in a renovated 1909 house in the Colonia Juarez neighborhood of Mexico City. The museum collection has fascinating chocolate-related artifacts dating back to the 17th century and exhibits well displaying the development of chocolate. During the tour, visitors learn how chocolate gained popularity. The museum has a store and cafe serving chocolate treats. Admission is $3. 50.

One of the most famous landmarks in Athens is the legendary Parthenon. Temple of Olympian Zeus
One of the most impressive monuments to see up close is the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Many people see this monument from far away, or even from the window of a taxi, and never stop for a first hand look themselves. This is a huge mistake as the size of it cannot truly be appreciated without visiting it up close.
Odeum of Herodes Atticus
Built into the hillside and providing a nice view of Athens is the Odeum of Herodes Atticus. This theater was constructed in the second century and was an important gathering place for both the upper and lower classes. It holds a little over 5,000 people, located just below the Acropolis, and is still used for performances to this day.

Basketball Statistician Help Wanted
The Athletic Department is looking for students to help assist staff during the Fall 2022, Winter 2022-23 and Spring 2023 semesters. Students in this position will be keeping live statistics during basketball games. Students must meet all of the following requirements:
·Good computer skills
·Available evenings and weekends
·Knowing basketball rules and statistics
