I am very passionate about dancing. When I dance, it lights a spark inside of me. I get a burst of energy, and it gives me the power to go on and on. I don’t really know how to explain my love for dance, like I was born to dance.

I love my enthusiasm. When I’m in the moment of something amazing, I take it for everything it’s worth and share it with whoever will interest me!

Art and acting. They make me feel confident and happy. I love seeing something from out of pencil marks on paper and the feeling while on stage. I’ve made great friends through these activities, too!

I don’t really know what I want to be when I grow up, but some of my first few choices include an architect, actress, artist, or author. I’m working to make my dreams a reality by working hard in school and trying to be my very best.

When I grow up, I want to be a teacher because I am passionate about helping people and love playing with kids! At school, I help take the little kids to the bus and sit with them, and I play with the 1st graders at break.

Being nice also benefits me because if two friends are in a fight, I can listen to both sides of the story with kindness. It makes me the peacemaker. Being nice makes me feel good knowing that I put a smile on someone’s face.

Shen Hao was born in 1964. He was the former first secretary of Party branch of Xiaogang Village, Fengyang County, Anhui Province. He died on November 6, 2009. From 2004 to 2009, he had done many good things for the villagers. For the development of Xiaogang Village he had made great contributions(贡献). So he was respected by all the villagers.

During the six years, he repaired the village roads, and built a building for a number of villagers. He rented a house in the village and thought about how to get the villagers to get rich all day. Even in the New Year, he still got together with his villagers. At last, under his leadership, Xiaogang Village was out of poverty. Now the villagers are leading a rich life.

He is a very filial son, but he had almost no time to get together with his over 90-year-old mother. But she never complained. His wife works in the bank and she is very busy. They both have little time to look after their daughter.

Although he did not do what he should do to his mother, wife and daughter, all the villagers will remember their good secretary forever.

Raising just one child can be a tough job for any parent, which is why this woman is being honored for taking in more than 600 children over the course of five decades. 75-year-old Linda Herring from Johnson County. Iowa has been tirelessly providing food, clothing, love» and medical care to hundreds of adopted kids since the 1970s.

When Herring first began adopting kids, she was also running a home daycare and working as a night custodian（监护人）in a local high school. Additionally, she volunteered as a first responder for 50 years of her life.

Out of the hundreds of adopted kids that Herring has taken under her wing, many of them experienced a range of medical conditions and special needs-but that never prevented Herring. Linda mostly adopted young children and children with special medical needs and kept boxes of clothes in her garage, piled to the ceiling, labeled by size and gender. No one had to worry about a child going without clothes at Linda’s, even if they arrived with nothing but what they were wearing.

Anthony Herring, who was just 3 years old when he was adopted into Linda’s family, described his mother like this： "It’s hard to say in words her impact. She was always available and ready for a child in need. " These kids were usually taken from a traumatic（受到创伤的） situation and she’d take them in, providing a warm bed, clean clothes» warm meals, and love. She also worked hard to keep families together. Helping biological parents make the changes needed to be able to keep their children. She always makes sure a new child in her home was given a professional photograph that was placed on the wall in the living room. "That seems like a small thing, but it helps them feel like they’re at home.”
