In the village that I grew up , everyone knew an old man, who lived a simply life and spent all his time painting. The villagers used to admiring his works and he often gave his paintings to his friends. Whenever he was offered money, he would not take them. He said he painted for a pleasure. He once gave one of his painting to my father, who actually wasn’t interested in art. Years later I found it in our old house. By that time the old man has died and people started to recognize his paintings as great works of art, which was worth lots of money. An art gallery made me an offer of $5,000 for this painting and I nearly sold it, so then I decided not to. It always reminds me my childhood and of the old man who didn’t really want to make money by painting.

Grandpa lives in a distant mountainous area with forests around．He runs a grocery store, that wild animals appear from time on time．One day, two small deer came to the door．They looked hungrily and Grandpa gave them some food to eat．Since now, the two deer have never left, lying in front of the shop after fed．Gradually, the lovely deer are popular, attract a lot of people to see them．As the result, Grandpa's business is getting even more better．The deer have become an alive advertisement, so more but more customers come to buy item in the store．Grandpa's kindness is paying off．

Last Sunday morning, a parents’ meeting held in our meeting hall, which was a meaningful and forgettable day to everyone. It was at 9 o'clock that the meeting began. First of all, one teacher suggested that we students worked harder. Then another read a few of letters to students writing by parents. They were so moved for us all, teachers included, which we couldn’t hold up our tears. At last, there was a warm and face-to-face conversation between us and our parents.

Through it, we are great motivated and have more confidences in our studies. To live up to our teachers’ and parent’s expectations, we’ll try our best to make our dream come true.
