This Friday is the traditional Dragon Boat Festival, also knowing as Duanwu Festival. One of the major custom is to make and eat rice dumplings. It’s obviously that most people don’t make rice dumplings at the present. They can buy it at the supermarket or online. However, it’s still considering one of the most important elements celebrate the festival. It’s not easy to make rice dumplings by hand, that takes too much time. And it is fun and brings family members together. So let’s made our own rice dumplings to keep the tradition alive.

Some international students visited our school in last week. To help them better understanding our tea-drinking culture, I took them to the tea room in our school and introduced history of tea-making and tea culture to them. All the international students were quite interested in their introduction. Then I showed them what to make tea. I sat at a table, slowly explain every step of the process while making tea. All of them were very amazed that they couldn’t wait to have a try themselves. Soon the atmosphere in the tea room become lively and we had a lot of funs practising making tea. In the end, we took a group photo to memorize this forgettable moment.

Delighted to know you are interested on Chinese Tree Planting Day, I would like to share some knowledges with you. Chinese Tree Planting Day falls on the twelve of March. On that day with the help of our teachers we usually plant trees in certain places. Although tired, but we feel it of great valuable. Later, we are required write a relevant composition or make a speech on the spot. Both of us take an active part in doing so. It is obvious that planting more trees is beneficial to their environment protection. Additionally, we can developed a good habit of labor by plant trees, especially the teenagers.
