Mary was an university student. She didn’t have much money and her parents were poor. So she had an uncle who had been luck enough to be very rich. He always give her valuable Christmas and birthday presents. When her uncle’s birthday came round, Mary wanted to buy her something really special, but because of he was so rich, she did not know how to get him. She went into the best shop in her town and explained her problem to one of the helpful shop assistant. Finally she asked, “What do you have for someone has already got everything he wants or needs?” The girl sighed deep and answered, “Envy (忌妒), only envy.”

It is well known that good habits do us good all our life. Entered high school, I took delight in having fast food and often eat too much. In the end, I was so serious overweight that I suffered a lot from my awkward appearance. It made matters worse was the fact that my classmates made a fun of me at times. From now on, I made up my mind to avoiding snacks. In the meanwhile, I took off jogging to lose weight. To my surprise, it was not long until I did succeed in changing my appearance. Only then I realize the importance of developing a good habit.

I still remember that at the age of twelve, I was asked to deliver a speech entitled An Unforgettable Experience before the whole class! How terrible shy I was the moment when I thought of that. I had no choice but prepare for it, though. First, I drafted the speech, which was easy. But the hardest part lies in my oral presentation. The real moment began as I stood on the platform with my legs trembled and my mind blank. But my listener were waiting patiently. Gradually I found myself back, giving my speech fluently. After which seemed to be ages, I found my audience applauding. I made it! From then on, my fear disappeared. Actually with your confidence building up, I now turn out to be the great speaker. Looking back, I know the greatest difficulty on the way to success is fear. Overcome it, or you will be able to achieve your goals.
