During the National holiday, I tried a new way to explore the Forbidden City, where left me deep impression. To avoid waste time buying a ticket on the spot, I made a reservation online. I got my ticket from a machine without difficulty and start the exploration. I was deep attracted by the grand architecture. To my excited, I could scan the QR codes to get detailed informations. With the VR glasses on, I even found me back to the time when the palace was under construction. How impressive! I found the Forbidden City both traditional or modem because of our history is made alive here.

Learning that you want to know how we spent the holiday in this special period, so I am writing to share the experience with you.

It is a coincidence that our National Day and the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival fell in the same day this year. Thanks to the unselfish devotion of all the medical staff which managed to bring the virus under control in our country, we could enjoy a long holiday than ever. Some people visited places of interests by means of private cars or public transportation, with masks on in crowded places, while some choose to stay at home, watching films or reading books. As for myself, I had a reunion with my family and enjoyed delicious mooncakes. Beside, we also watched some wonderful TV programs to celebrate the birthday of our motherland, all amazing at the great changes in our country.

With Halloween approached, Chengdu’s officials issued statement online, banning terrifying costumes to avoid chaos. Do you think it was reasonably? In my opinion, even if one wants to celebrate Halloween, then he or she should go to the US. I love Halloween, and it doesn’t mean I want China to adopt the tradition, and I wouldn’t ask for so a thing. I don’t know about the origin in Halloween, but to me, it was not important. What’s priceless is not the knowledge of that Halloween came from, but the pleasure you have with your friends. Each country should have its own unique traditions. I’m sure Chinese people have got its own ways of having fun.
